Gwanyang Plum Festival
Gwangyang hosts the 'Gwangyang Plum Festival' every spring at Maehwa Village, where about 1 million plum trees burst into bloom from mid- to late March. The festival offers edible treats like mussels, chamgetang (spicy mitten crab stew), and dishes made with maesil (green plum).
