Metasequoia Road which is said to be the best road in Korea presents coolness in summer, like the tunnel made by forest and the brown fallen leaves in autumn delude us as if we see the military inspection of soldiers in a fairy tale. Metasequoia Road was selected as the most beautiful forest road in 2002 and listed as the National Forest Culture Asset by Korea Forest Service in 2015. Metasequoia Land provides unique things to see for visitors including the Southwestern Region Climate Change Center, Children’s Province, and Insects Museum, as well as the Metasequoia Road itself.

Jungnogwon Bamboo Garden in Hyanggyo-ri, Damyang-eup was made by Damyang-gun is very popular as a bamboo forest park. Pass the Confucian school along the Damyangcheon River, which is the origin of the Yeongsangang River and the Gwanbangjerim Forest, and Jungnogwon, the bamboo forest, is on your left. Go up the stone stair one by one from the entrance and your stiff body gets relaxed. Then, wind through the bamboo as it revitalizes the exhausted body and mind. As we concentrating on the crispy sound of bamboo leaves, we look at ourselves standing in the middle of the exuberant bamboo forest at that moment. Eco-friendly food and tradition, as well as the long history of the village, remain. "Soswaewon, one of the representative gardens from the Joseon period made by Yang San-bo in 1530 (the 25th year of King Jungjong’s reign), was originally comprised about of 10 buildings including Jewoldang, Gwangpunggak, Aeyangdan, and Daebongdae, but only a few buildings remain now. Jewoldang has the meaning of the ‘fresh moon on the sky after rain’. Jewoldang is the house for the owner. It has 3 rooms in the front and 1 room on the side with a hipped-and-gabled roof. Gwangpunggak has the meaning of ‘cool wind when the sun comes out after rain’. Like the guest room, it has 3 rooms in the front and on the side, each with the hipped-and-gabled roof. It was rebuilt in 1614. From a residential aspect, it’s a kind of rear garden. In terms of the space arrangement and functions, it is a royal garden around Jewoldang (inner hall), Gyewon, Gyeryu, and Jeonwon arranged at the entrance. "
